Dr Rob Ford is the College Secretary for the College of Life Sciences at the University of Dundee. Following an undergraduate degree in Biochemistry at Cardiff University and then a PhD at the University of Edinburgh, Rob worked as a clinical biochemist in the NHS and then in industry, first as a project leader developing diagnostic tools before moving into management.

When Rob made the move back into academia at the University of Dundee, he took on the role of Intellectual Property Rights Manager and then became Assistant Director of the MRC Protein Phosphorylation Unit before moving to his current position.
